We hear you grew up in Cuba, what was that like? Growing in Cuba is a blessing! It’s tough, rough, edgy, very painful sometimes, yet it shapes you in the perfect form for the lights to come guide you in the proper direction. The utmost part is the self belief. Growing in Cuba taught that if I can make it there, I can make it anywhere.

What would people be surprised to know about you? I’m very unpredictable. My Cuban side keeps me saucy! I’m very outgoing and I’m not afraid to try new experiences.

Favorite TV Show and Movie? Right now, my favorite TV Show is America’s got talent. I like seeing others grow through opportunities that they have acquired. My favorite movie of all time which stars my all time crush Lady Gaga, ̈A Star Is Born. ̈

What is your favorite drink?

I love a good martini, and I also love a good bottle of wine.

What is the best way for someone to win your heart?

Shoes…Just kidding! I would say just by being present, kind and caring. Also being supportive! Modeling can be grueling hours and its important to have someone who supports you and your career.

What do you look for when dating? Well I am in love, but when I used to date the first thing I looked for was the eyes, because the eyes are the window to the soul and I think you can tell a lot about a person through their eyes.

Would you ever date one of your social media followers? If I was single, I don’t see why not!

What’s the strangest thing someone has sent you on social media?

There are some creepy people on social media unfortunately but I just block them if they are being to inappropriate.

Congrats on your new eyelash line you just launched called Yilena Luxury Lashes! What was the inspiration behind starting a lash line?

I’m constantly getting my makeup done for photo shoots and I always feel my prettiest when I have my makeup done. So I wanted to create a lash line that represents me: powerful, fun, genuine, and confident! I feel like women feel sexy when they have long luxurious lashes, so why not create a line that makes you feel all of the above!

Can you tell us about your lashes and what makes them special?

They are mink lashes so the textures are very real and natural looking. You can wear them multiple times before tossing them, and they are all named after strong powerful women that are in my life.
