Meet this month’s cover star Tatiana Ivanova / @ta_tiana2185

Congratulations on your Playboy feature! How do you feel? I feel… cold, because the clothes, apparently, stayed on the previous page.

What is your best physical feature? Of course, I prefer it when men compliment my eyes rather than my butt. But the butt is acceptable too.

What’s one thing people would be surprised to learn about you? I eat onions. It’s true! I love eating onions. I take it and crunch it like an apple. It’s tasty to me. I don’t do this very often, as it’s certainly not very pleasant to see people start crying with every word you say.

Where do you see yourself 10 years from now? I am opening the Chanel show, and I am closing it too. Burj Khalifa New Year’s animation on the tower with my face on it. Inauguration of the next president of America – and here I am again in a cute big hat sitting in the front row. Met Gala – I am presenting the Lotus suit. I am appearing on the cover of Playboy, while my former suitors are appearing only on my blacklist haha.

Outside of modeling, what are some of your passions or projects you’re currently working on? Love running! Especially running from responsibilities.

Who inspires you the most, either in modeling or in life in general? I think success is 99% work and only 1% inspiration, so I don’t chase it. If we talk about celebrities, I don’t have any idols. If you want, you can find inspiration everywhere: in the view from the window, in a passerby, in children, in a book, and even in the weather forecast.

What message do you hope to send to women who see your feature? Lose your shit, consider yourself better than others! Humiliate, dominate, and win! If someone tells you that loving yourself very much is selfishness, then block him, haha.  The very concept of “being selfish” seems provocative to many. This is the cost of upbringing, the desire to be good being instilled in all of us as early as kindergarten. Why is caring about yourself and your life immoral and worthy of contempt, while worrying about the interests of others considered moral and worthy of praise? I’ve asked myself this question many times, and I do not have any reasonable answer. I admire women with healthy egos, who know who they are and what they want, who set and achieve their own goals. I believe the practice of healthy egoism makes you a better friend and a better parent.

How do you define confidence and sensuality in your own terms? Confidence is when you hit send and don’t read what you’ve sent until later. I love doing that! That’s probably why I am still single.  Sensuality in a woman lies in details, how you look, how you talk, and how you move.  It’s when you say “Hi” and it sounds like the first verse of The Weekend.

What has been the biggest lesson you’ve learned since entering the modeling industry? There are few!

1. Hungry? Smell the latte.

2. Being weird gives loser vibes. Being weird with confidence – is fashion.

3. Don’t be afraid to look stupid – it’s not trendy to be afraid.

Seriously speaking, my best lessons have been about self-acceptance. I love the modern fashion business for its lack of boundaries and conventions. A person with any appearance can be on a billboard or become the face of a brand. And, girls no longer feel obliged to fit into XS or, say, get rhinoplasty. We are all different and that’s great!

Do you like taking vacations? Where is your favorite place you have been and where would you like to visit next? I love spontaneous trips! I’m a big adventurer! For example, I recently went to San Francisco for the weekend with a girl I’d known for a few hours! We got to talking in a cafe and realized that both of us had the same dream: to go to a place we’d never been. In a few hours, we were on a plane flying to California! For me, a great vacation is not about a location, but about adventure, expanding horizons, meeting new people, and discovering new places.

Besides modeling, what keeps you busy? Besides modeling and taking vacations with strangers from coffeehouses, I love outdoor recreation. You can easily encounter me in Central Park on my bike! If you see me out, please be shy, don’t come say hi haha. Okay joking, I’d obviously be happy to make new friends in New York.

If you were stranded on a deserted island with only one accessory, what would it be? Can I have two? The first is a fluorescent swimsuit – so that I can be seen even from space. Maybe someone will notice! And the second is a palm tree in a pot – to create the feeling that I am at a tropical resort, and not on a wild island.

What’s next for you any goals, projects, or dreams you’re excited about? I need to go to Hollywood! Have a strong feeling there are not many Russians there. And I have a celebrity crush. I won’t name him, but… my dad is already rehearsing how to pronounce “Leo” correctly at the wedding.

What advice would you give to aspiring models?Have few!

1. Don’t look at other models. They can distract you from the most important thing – you.

2. The camera doesn’t like you? So what. You don’t like everyone either.

3. If you don’t know what high fashion face is during a shooting, just imagine ur ex is suggesting you to start over and keep that face!
